Type 2, Class B - Concrete Curing Compound
ECO-1000™ is a white pigmented, high performance resin based, liquid membrane concrete curing compound. ECO-1000™ was designed to be applied to freshly pour horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. When applied properly, ECO-1000™ prevents rapid water evaporation by forming an impermeable membrane which holds moisture in the concrete. ECO-1000™ will begin to dissipate from the concrete surface after 3 or 4 weeks of exposure to weathering, sunlight, and or traffic.
ECO-1000™ is ideal on horizontal / exterior surfaces, such as road construction, airports runways, state and county highways, dams, and canal paving.
ECO-1000™ complies with the following:
- ASTM C-309, Type 2, Class B
- AASHTO M 148, Type 2, Class B
- FAA Item P-501 and P-610-2.11 (e)
- VOC Content limit 350 g/l
ECO-1000™ was specially designed to conform to TxDOT DM4650 Specifications for TxDOT Road and Highway Construction.
Apply ECO-1000™ right after the concrete receives its final finishing and the water sheen disappears. Apply by brush, roller, sprayer or paving train. Temperatures above 40° F are recommended. COVERAGE: Aprox. 200 ft2/gal (4.91 m2/l). Coat uniformly, leave no gaps, for best results use sprayer at 40 psi with a flow of 1⁄2 gal per minute.
- Drying Time: Typically 2 – 5 hrs depending on application rate, temperature and humidity. Avoid traffic during this time.
- Flash Point: Greater than 200°F
- Density:7.86 lbs / gal
- Color: Milky White
- Moisture Retention: 0.32 kg / m2 @ 72 hrs (Typical)
Do not apply when temperatures are below 40°F, keep from freezing. Agitate thoroughly before use.
Please note that spraying equipment must be cleaned before and after application with warm water and soap. If you find dirty equipment with dried product use water and or solvent to flush dried product. If encounter settling, mix gently prior to use Please note that spraying equipment must be cleaned before application.
