Resin-Based, Water-Based Concrete Curing Compound

PEG-Clear™ is a resin based, water-base concrete cure typically used on interior, exterior, vertical and horizontal concrete surfaces. PEG-Clear™ forms a continuous membrane which controls moisture loss in freshly placed concrete. PEG-Clear™ is a Type 1, Class B concrete curing compound. PEG-Clear™ is VOC compliant (> 350 g/l).

PEG Clear™ can be used applied to fresh concrete on either interior, exterior, vertical, and horizontal surfaces. Used typically on exterior commercial projects such as roads, highways, airports, concrete canals, dams, parking lots, and on any engineered specified projects. PEG Clear™ can also be used paint, tile, or resilient flooring may be applied a later date.

PEG Clear™ complies with the following:

  • ASTM C-309, Type 1, Class A & B
  • VOC Content limit 350 g/l

Make sure surface is clean and clear of debris. Ensure spraying equipment to be cleaned before application. Apply PEG Clear™ right after the concrete receives its final finishing and the water sheen disappears. Apply by brush, roller, or sprayer. Temperatures above 40° F are recommended.

COVERAGE: Aprox. 200 ft2/gal (4.91 m2/l). Coat uniformly; leave no gaps, for best results use sprayer at 40 psi with a flow of 1⁄2 gal per minute. If encounter settling, mix gently prior to use. Do not mix excessively, or foaming will occur.

  • Drying Time: Typically 1 to 2 hrs depending on application rate, temperature and humidity. Avoid traffic during this time.
  • Flash Point: > 210° F (99°C)
  • Density: 8.345 lbs/gal
  • Color: White when applied, Amber when drying. After 3 to 5 weeks, the membrane will dissipate from the surface.

Do not apply when temperatures are below 40°F, keep from freezing. Do not mix or dilute with other chemicals that contain solvents such as Mineral Spirits, or fluids that might contain petroleum distillates.

Please note that spraying equipment must be cleaned before and after application with water and soap. If you find dirty equipment with dried product use Water, Mineral Spirit or other solvents to clean spray nozzles.

Follow instruction of MSDS for Health and Safety Instructions.

PEG Clear™ should be stored in a tightly sealed factory container. We recommend storage in horizontal position to avoid moister accumulation. Store it under roof if possible, especially if temperatures are below 40° F.
