LCM Blend for Extreme Losses

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RD-220™ is a freely flowing multi-component blend prepared for combating lost circulation in drilling fluids. RD- 220™ is effective in a range of fracture plugging and is used as a maintenance treatment and higher addition rates when significant mud loss occurs. RD-220™ can be used for all invert fluids, including synthetics and in fresh and saltwater mud.

PROPERTIES, TYPICAL

Appearance

Density (lb/ft3)

54 Avg (44 Uncompacted /64 Compacted )

Flash Point

< 200° F (COC)

APPLICATION

  • 2-10 ppb As preventative maintenance lost circulation material in drilling fluids
  • 15 – 30 ppb as slug treatment

ADVANTAGES

  • Can reduce the initiation of fracture formation specially in depleted sands
  • No adverse effect on rheological or filtration control properties
  • Does not plug drilling equipment
  • Not classified as hazardous material

TREATMENT RATE

  • Pre-treat with 2 – 10 ppb in the system as you drill
  • Use 2 to 4 ppb for maintenance
  • For partial losses send slugs of 10 to 20 ppb
  • For complete losses prepare a 20 to 30 ppb sludge pill

**NOTE**

Always pilot test before adding the product so the allow amount of product would be added.

PACKAGING

  • 25 Lbs Bags (40 Bags / Pallet)
